KTM-Technologies is a ISO 9001 certified service company
- Concept development
- Engineering and construciton
- Dimensioning and simulation
- Technological development and prototype manufacturing
Our special USP is the extensive Know-how about lightweight design based on composite- and hybrid materials, especially based on carbon fiber.
Our experience, creativity and innovative methodology allow us to create added-value solutions for customers from different sectors. Our competence „across the process chain“ and high level cross-industry experience form the basis of our success.
The „in-house“ partnership with KISKA enables us to fully include product design into the concept development process. This ensures a highly effective realization of technical and design elements while reducing the overall development period. Our leading area of competence, carbon composite lightweight construction, ranges from the full product creation process to the creation of new technologies for cost-effective production.
Among our renowned customers from various different industries, many are market leaders in their respective fields. They trust our performance and competence. Many of our projects were carried out within the automotive industry on behalf of OEMs.
The development of the CFRP sport car "X-Bow" laid the foundation stone for KTM-Technologies
In March 2007, KTM Sportmotorcycle decided to realize the concept of a puristic CFRP sports car including a road license for small series production vehicles. A team of experienced lightweight and carbon composite engineers was taken on board in order to realize the venture.
As a KTM Sportmotorcycle AG „spin-off“ company, KTM Engineering was founded before finalization of the serial production in 2008, located in Mattighofen and Wels. The goals for KTM-Technologies were both pooling automotive competencies and forming a powerful high-tech development service provider.
The complete vehicle know-how and broad expertise related to development, application and production of composite materials (CFRP/GRP) formed an ideal base. Due to strong market needs in the area of CFRP serial application, we found technological development to be the core competence and ideal basis of innovation. Rebranding the company KTM-Technologies followed as the next logical step in 2009.
A new, ultra-modern location was found in Salzburg Anif and shared with Kiska, the affiliated design company. Since then, designers and engineers have been developing creative and highly functional concepts within a closely knit framework and environment – an advantage which many of our customers appreciate today.
In 2012, the existing workshop was extended by adding a composite laboratory including a high-pressure RTM unit and a Langzauner laboratory press. A powerful in-house rapid prototyping system complements our extensive range of possibilities of process development and prototype manufacturing.
