Urban Mobility

Revolution in automotive engineering

Experimental development of an emission-free

lightweight vehicle in the course of the A3plus programme.

During the project, two operational prototypes were constructed as a concept study. Project start: middle of 2009, successful  project completion: end of 2011. The use of lightweight materials and a reduction to essential part functions reduced energy consumption, weight, complexity and vehicle costs.

A safer and more robust passenger cabin and crash structures for front, side and rear impact increase passenger safety.

With sustainability at the focus of development, not only did we achieve environmentally friendly and energy efficient driving, but continued all along the value chain from minimal use of raw material and energy-saving production to high recyclability.
